ABOUT WHAT’S IN THE BASKETS….
Miller’s Bay Farm understands that:
- You will expect each basket to be truly Bountiful, and so you should!
- You will expect the quality of the produce in every basket to be excellent, naturally!
- You are counting on us to provide an interesting variety of items throughout the 15-week Bountiful Basket Season.
Quantity Quality Variety
Miller’s Bay Farm needs you to understand that:
- We only sell what we grow.
- Bountiful Baskets will include ONLY produce (mainly vegetables, with occasional fruits).
- Farming is weather dependent, and as such, can be unpredictable!
For that reason, contents of the baskets will depend directly on the success of each crop in the given year. There may be a week or two (particularly at the beginning) when you question how ‘Bountiful’ your Basket is. Rest assured that it will all balance out over the course of the season. We appreciate your understanding. As we said, farming is unpredictable AND seasonal!
Everything comes from Miller’s Bay Farm, Variety will depend on the season, Some weeks may be scant. All will balance out in the end.
ABOUT BASKET PICK UP…
(INCLUDING MISSED BASKETS)
Miller’s Bay Farm will:
Ensure that Baskets are ready for pick-up by the agreed upon time each week.
(In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we will make every reasonable attempt to notify subscribers of delays.)
Baskets will be ready on time
Miller’s Bay Farm needs you to understand that:
Your Bountiful Basket must be picked up within the timeslot that you have registered for.
IF YOU MISS YOUR PICK-UP:
We all have one of ‘those days’ from time to time! Or maybe you’re just heading away for a while…
You have some options in the event of a missed basket:
- Ask a friend to grab it for you. (It doesn’t matter to us WHO picks up the basket, as long as they’re willing to sign for it. Feel free to notify us ahead of time if you like.)
- Donate it. ( If you let us know in advance, we will make sure it gets to one of our charity partners while it is still fresh!)
- Any baskets not claimed by closing time will be donated to a local food charity.
BASKETS WILL NOT BE HELD OVERNIGHT. That just defeats the whole idea of FRESH produce!
No refunds, credits, or replacements will be issued for baskets not picked up.
Oh man, that does sound harsh, doesn’t it? If your life is truly turning upside down for ‘whatever’ reason on a particular day, PLEASE do contact us and we’ll see how we can accommodate. We don’t want anyone to miss out on a basket…but at the same time, we have to have SOME sort of guidelines. We hope you understand where we’re coming from.
Missed Basket Options: Share with a friend, Share with a stranger, Unclaimed baskets are automatically donated, If all else fails, call the farm.
